Dr. DiRienzo will collect information on any chief complaints and also get a review of all body systems at the first office visit. This in depth consultation can uncover connections between seemingly different health concerns and will help to elucidate the “root cause” of illness.
If you have laboratory results or imaging reports (e.g. ultrasounds, etc.) from another physician or clinic, it can be helpful to bring copies or the report of findings from these along as well. If you are unable to do so, you will probably be asked to fill out a request for medical records. If you have not had any of these tests in the recent past, you may be asked to schedule testing.
Dr. DiRienzo prescribes supplements and conventional medications when necessary. She maintains a dispensary in her office for certain supplements and also utilizes compounding pharmacies and Bastyr’s dispensary for items she does not carry. Conventional prescriptions can be given to the patient or called in to the patient’s pharmacy of choice. Dr. DiRienzo does not prescribe scheduled medications such as narcotics.
