The scope of practice of a naturopathic doctor in the state of Washington is similar to any family doctor. Commonly called a naturopath, these doctors work to find the least invasive methods to effectively treat people and conditions. They use natural agents when appropriate and also can utilize prescription drugs when necessary.
Dr. DiRienzo provides primary care for adult patients. Her services include: condition specific treatment, annual exams and full laboratory workup including routine blood work and functional testing such as diagnostic gastrointestinal panels, adrenal/cortisol panels and food allergy/sensitivity testing.
In addition to primary care, special areas of interest for Dr. DiRienzo include: innovative skin care, anti-aging, heart health, gastro-intestinal health, female health conditions and menopause.
She refers patients for other age appropriate testing such as mammograms, colonoscopies and bone density studies (DEXA). As a primary care doctor, Dr. DiRienzo also refers patients to specialists when appropriate.
Dr. DiRienzo sees children for care that is adjunct to routine pediatrics. She offers consultations and follow-up for children for conditions such as: recurrent infections, asthma, eczema and attention problems. Dr. DiRienzo does not offer immunizations at her office.
