Naturopathic physicians also recognize and employ the therapeutic potential of the doctor-patient relationship.

The scope of practice of a naturopathic doctor in the state of Washington is similar to any family doctor.  Commonly called a naturopath,  these doctors work with the body using natural treatments whenever possible to help the body heal.
